Even though we haven't heard that much from Camouflage since the really big hits and international successes of the 1980s like "Great Commandment" and "Love Is a Shield," the three electro-wave pop musicians have been an inseparable part of Germany's music scene for nearly a quarter century. During that time, they released a total of seven studio albums and several respectable singles.
Now Camouflage presents its first live DVD, "Live in Dresden," which was recorded on September 30 during a concert at Reithalle Dresden during their "Relocated" tour in 2006.
The double DVD offers excellent image and sound quality along with a comprehensive and impressive look at the past 25 years of Camouflage's musical history. The band brought their arrangements up to date and added real guitars and drums especially for the 2006 tour through Germany and Europe. Despite this restrained modern sound, nothing is lost in terms of Camouflage's original, always slightly melancholy vibe and catchy, atmospheric melodies.
